[edit] Introduction

This article describes our policies and procedures regarding bandwidth overages.

[edit] Usage

Bandwidth usage for the month is measured via your website traffic, e-mail traffic, and FTP usage. You can access this information at any time in both cPanel and Webmin.

[edit] Notification of Pending Overages

Since cPanel automatically temporarily suspends sites that go over bandwidth, you are sent many notifications via e-mail that you're about to go over. It is always a good idea to pay attention to these notices. If it is close to the end of the month you may never go over the amount.

Webmin does not automatically suspend the site for a bandwidth overage, but we will contact you to arrange a corrective action as described below.

[edit] Corrective Actions

[edit] Grace Period

If the bandwidth overage is small and temporary, and doesn't usually reoccur each month we generally do not require you to upgrade or purchase additional bandwidth.

[edit] Account Upgrade

In most cases, the most effective action is to upgrade the affected site to the next plan. To do this, please contact support.

[edit] Additional Bandwidth

You can purchase additional bandwidth without upgrading your plan. Contact support for a quote on this.
