[edit] What is Mephisto

Mephisto is a content management system (CMS) and blog publishing software suite built on the Ruby on Rails platform. It features configurable URL's, fully editable templates, and an active support community.

[edit] Installing Mephisto

Installing Mephisto is very easy on your web hosting account with OCS Solutions. You will first need to create a database for Mephisto. This proceedure is documented for both cPanel and Webmin. Make a note of the database name, MySQL username, and password that you've setup, as you'll have to enter this information in again. We also strongly recommend you get a Mongrel port assigned so that you can have our installation wizard setup Mongrel to work with Mephisto for you as well.

You will need to SSH into your account and make a folder (if you haven't already) for your Rails app. You can use the command: 

ocs-install-mephisto

This will launch the installation wizard and guide you through setting up an instance of Mephisto. Be sure to read all of the information it provides at the end of installation.
