For "Server Type", make sure POP3 is selected, and enter the Incoming and Outgoing mail servers for our server. Your incoming server will be mail.yourdomain.com (where yourdomain.com is your actual domain name).

We recommend that in most cases you use your ISP's outgoing (or SMTP) mail server. Usually you can find this information in their welcome packet. If you do not know your ISP's outgoing mail server, please refer to the list below for a list of common ISP's and their SMTP servers:

  • Comcast - smtp.comcast.net
  • Time Warner (Road Runner) - Refer to ISP, varies by region
  • BellSouth - mail.bellsouth.net
  • Earthlink - smtp.earthlink.net
  • Yahoo / SBC - smtp.mail.yahoo.com
  • Cox Cable - Refer to ISP, varies by region

The next screen will ask for your account name and password. Enter your full e-mail address for your account name, and the password you assigned to the mailbox in the password field:

Once you click "Next", you are done. Click "Finish" and click "Send and Receive" at the top of Outlook Express to check your mail.

That's it! Your finished!

Troubleshooting

  • If you are asked for your login and password each time you try, make sure you have entered your password correct and that you are using your full e-mail address as the account login.
  • If you cannot send mail without an error, make sure you are using your ISP's outgoing mail server (SMTP server). For more information on this please click here.
