Using Another Mail Server
From OCS Support Wiki

[edit] Introduction
This guide will show you how to configure your website so that another mail server is your primary e-mail server (for example, Google E-mail for Domains or another ISP).
[edit] Changing MX Records
[edit] DNS Changes
If you are not sure which DNS servers you use and you registered your domain through us, you are using our (OCSDNS) DNS servers.
[edit] Using OCSDNS
If you use our nameservers (i.e. NS1.OCSDNS.COM, NS2.OCSDNS.COM, etc.), then you will need to have us change your DNS records to reflect the outside mail server. Please obtain your mail server settings from your outside mail provider and open a support ticket to have us change them.
[edit] Using Another DNS Provider
To set your MX records, you will need to modify the mail exchanger settings in the control panel of your DNS provider. We are unable to provide specific directions on how to do this as it varies from provider to provider. If in doubt, consult your DNS provider's documentation or support department.
[edit] Hosting Changes
It is also necessary to instruct the server you are on not to process mail for your domain.
[edit] cPanel
- Login to your cPanel control panel
- Click on the MX Entry icon in the Mail section
- Click Delete next to all current DNS entries
[edit] Webmin
- Login to your Webmin control panel
- Make sure the domain that you want to work with is selected in the domain selection box
- Click Edit Virtual Server
- Click the + sign just left of the Enabled Features box header
- Uncheck Mail for Domain Enabled
- Click Save Virtual Server
[edit] Conclusion
After the above changes are made, mail will now be handled by your outside mail servers. It may take a while before DNS changes are fully propagated.
Please note that we are unable to provide technical support for mail services not provided by us.
